Phillips confident of late push

Young Blackpool star Matt Phillips is confident the Seasiders can book a play-off place and another season in the Premier League.

Blackpool stunned everybody two years ago when their late charge to the play-offs resulted in a Wembley victory and a return to the top flight after 39 years in the lower leagues. Ian Holloway's side performed admirably during their first season in the Premier League but ultimately fell back down to the Championship at the first time of asking. With four games remaining this season, Blackpool occupy a top-six spot and look set for another tilt at the play-offs. Phillips revealed confidence is high in the camp and expects another late-season charge. "We can definitely get into the play-offs. The belief we have got is strong and the resolve we showed with 10 men against Barnsley proves we have got what it takes to do it," he said.
