Charlton boss Chris Powell has admitted that Chris Solly's consistent performances have made him the first name on the team sheet.
The defender has won the club's player of the year award for the last two seasons and, following the Addicks' promotion last term, has only improved since moving into the Championship. The youngster once again impressed during the 2-0 win over Blackpool on Saturday and Powell admits his performances have made him almost impossible to drop. "I shouldn't really say this but he's one of the first names on the team sheet," said a delighted Powell. "He's low maintenance, he comes in and gets on with his job, he's a proper professional at such a young age."
