Poyet plans summer clear-out

Brighton manager Gus Poyet is planning a summer clear-out of his squad at the AMEX Stadium.
The East Sussex club look set to miss out on the Championship play-off faces following Saturday's 6-0 thumping at West Ham - a result that leaves Brighton without a win in five league matches. Poyet's side are five points adrift of the top-six with three games remaining and the boss is already eyeing changes at the club when the season is over. He told The Argus: "I think we were very fair with the whole squad that won the league last year, now the other side is coming, the ugly part. "I don't think that is strange, it happens everywhere. The only problem is the ones that are going to be out are going to think I am a bad person or bad manager and didn't give them a chance. Well they've had a chance, so there are no excuses."
