Bolton's Sam Ricketts has told fans not to worry about the club's disappointing pre-season campaign.
The Trotters failed to win in any of their three friendlies against Ayr United, Hamilton Academical and Falkirk, causing slight unrest amongst sections of the club's support, but Ricketts believes the results will benefit the squad in the long term and has told fans not to panic. "If we'd gone and won 5-0, we would have had nothing to work on. We could have become complacent," he told The Bolton News. "This is a really strong squad but we're still gelling and we need to get into a habit of winning every week "The last couple of years we've just been trying to survive in the Premier League, this is a different kind of feeling we're trying to achieve. "We've got undoubted quality in the squad are there are still players to come back like Marvin Sordell and David Ngog, two massive threats for us. So things are looking well."
