Birmingham City forward Adam Rooney is confident about his side's chances in the play-offs ahead of tonight's trip to Blackpool.
Rooney scored his fourth league goal of the season as the Blues beat champions Reading on the final day of the Championship season, securing the play-off date with Ian Holloway's Blackpool.
And now the striker is optimistic about Birmingham's chances of beating the Seasiders and reaching Wembley.
He told the club's official website: "It was a great win against a Reading team that had just won the league.
"We knew it was going to be a difficult game but we wanted to finish the last game before the play-offs on a high.
"It was a really good team performance and that's what we need going into the play-offs. We're unbeaten in a few games so we're feeling confident especially with the record we have at home."
Chris Hughton's side travel to Bloomfield Road this evening for the play-off semi-final first leg before hosting the return tie at St Andrew's on Tuesday.
