Scannell signs for Terriers

Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of Crystal Palace forward Sean Scannell on a three-year deal.
The 23-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at Selhurst Park despite only signing a new four-and-a-half-year deal with the club last September, and Terriers boss Simon Grayson has moved quickly to make him his first signing at the Galpharm Stadium. Sannell struggled to hold down a first-team place for the Eagles after making his debut in 2007 and only scored four goals in 37 appearances last season, though Championship new-boys Town will be hoping he can provide them with an attacking option. Huddersfield announced the deal on their official website on Friday night: "Simon Grayson has today agreed his first capture of the summer after tying up a three-year deal for Crystal Palace winger Sean Scannell."
