Tigers manager approaches denied
Rumours that managerless Hull City have approached Steve Bruce and Greg Abbott have been denied by the two parties.
The Tigers are without a manager after dismissing Nick Barmby from his role last month and are now in search of a new chief at the KC Stadium. But speculation that senior figures at Hull have spoken to Bruce and Carlisle United boss Abbott about taking over at the Championship outfit has now been dismissed. Bruce's agent Rob Segal told the Mail: "It is completely untrue. "I have had no contact at all from Hull City. Hull City have not approached us at all. "If they wanted Steve Bruce as their manager all they would have to do is to call me. I could then speak to Steve and find out if he is interested in the position." A spokesman for Carlisle told in the News and Star: "We have genuinely had no contact from Hull about Greg." Brentford manager Uwe Rosler is the latest name to be linked with the Hull vacancy.
