The Addicks were founded in 1905 and entered the Football League in 1921, with their most successful period in the 1930s and 1940’s – when they reached the FA Cup final twice.
The Valley has been Charlton’s home since 1919, although they did have a seven year stint on the road, playing at Crystal Palace and West Ham between 1985 and 1992.
Charlton have enjoyed four separate spells in the top flight including a seven-season run in the Premier League between 2000 and 2007.
