Charlton assistant boss Tim Breacker says the Addicks need to sort out the futures of their loan players as soon as possible.
The Addicks currently have goalkeeper Carl Ikeme from Wolves, Fulham right-back Elliot Omozusi and strikers Akpo Sodje and David Mooney from Sheffield Wednesday and Reading respectively.
It is now crucial that Charlton agree extensions for all four player otherwise they run the risk of losing them and Breacker says they need to move quickly to ensure they keep them.
"Hopefully we can keep Carl all season, but we'll have to wait and see," he revealed. "I don't know what the latest situation is or whether we can extend it but obviously we'll have to look at Robbie, who's getting near to fitness as well.
"We'd love to extend David and Akpo's loans as they've both done well for us but it's down to their clubs, we don't really know what's happening in terms of their injuries.
"For the first month Akpo cannot be recalled but if it goes into a second month they can recall him quickly, and with the deadline coming up on Thursday this could be a vital time for a lot of teams in terms of their squad.
"We've got most of our bodies back though we've got one or two niggles that hopefully will be back and we'll have a fit squad for that period."
