Addicks main man hungry for more
Charlton Athletic, 15:50, January 18, 2010 ,
Charlton's skipper Nicky Bailey has vowed to double his tally of goals to help the club achieve promotion back to the Championship.
The Addicks captain scored the winner in the 2-1 away win against Wycombe on Saturday to take his goal tally to ten for the season and keep Charlton up with the League One pace-setters after three draws in a row.
The all-action midfielder scored thirteen times last season and has set himself a target of twenty goals this term as well as warning current top scorer, Deon Burton, not to rest on his laurels.
Bailey told the Charlton website: "There's a bit of banter going on between Deon and myself - he says my goal in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy really doesn't count! But a goal's a goal and I keep reminding him that I'm only two behind him now, so he'd better get his shooting boots on again."
