Loan signings compete for places
Charlton Athletic, 20:08, November 28, 2008 ,
Loan signings Deon Burton and Jay McEveley are in line to make their Addicks debuts against Southampton at The Valley.
Caretaker-boss Phil Parkinson snapped up the duo on deals from Sheffield Wednesday and Derby respectively - sending Luke Varney off to the Rams in return.
But, as Charlton now have seven players on loan, Parkinson will leave two of them out as he can only name five in his match-day squad.
Winger Keith Gillespie, another recent loan capture from Sheffield United, will make his home debut.
Centre-half Jonathan Fortune was on the bench at QPR in midweek after two months out with a knee problem and could be involved, but midfielder Zheng Zhi is still out with a foot injury.
