Parkinson hails 'strong characters'
Charlton Athletic, 17:16, February 9, 2010 ,
Charlton boss Phil Parkinson believes his side have the ability to break into the top two despite losing ground on the league leaders.
A late goal from Nicky Bailey ensured Charlton took a share of the points against Swindon on Saturday and Parkinson feels the Addicks can still finish in the top two this season.
He said: "We've said to be successful this season we are going to need to have a strong mentality and a winning mentality,
"Since the first day of pre-season, we've spoken about that every day in training.
"We've got some strong characters in the team. When you are standing on the side and think of the characters we've got, then you think you have always got a chance."
