Stephens will bounce back - Powell

Charlton manager Chris Powell has backed Dale Stephens to put the disappointment of missing out on a dream move to Aston Villa behind him.

Midfielder Stephens was left out of the Addicks side beaten 2-1 at Nottingham Forest on Saturday after being linked with a deadline-day switch to Villa Park.
The move did not materialise, however, with Villa boss Paul Lambert instead landing Ashley Westwood from Crewe.
Powell said: "I had to prepare the team for a football match and there was the possibility that Dale might leave at the 11th hour.
"I needed clarity in the team, but he is a strong-willed boy and he will prepare himself for getting back in the team."
