Striker open to move

Charlton Athletic, 10:44, November 23, 2009

Sheffield Wednesday striker Akpo Sodje is targeting a permanent move to Charlton and hopes the two clubs can agree a deal.

Sodje has joined the Addicks on a one-month loan deal and grabbed his first goal for the club with a stunning strike in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Yeovil at Huish Park.

The striker admits he is not sure what the future holds but says he would like to sign on a permanent basis if a deal can be agreed.

"That is all down to both clubs and it's down to the manager but I'm enjoying the football and I'm enjoying playing again," Sodje revealed. "If it happens I'll be very, very happy but if it doesn't happen then I'll just keep on playing for Sheffield Wednesday.

"My contract's up at the end of the season so I need to play more games wherever I'm going to be."
