Charlton vice-captain Matt Taylor could come into contention for a place in Chris Powell's squad for the trip to Wolves this weekend.

Central defender Taylor has been a frustrated onlooker since injuring his foot in the opening month of the campaign, but he played 75 minutes on his comeback in the Kent Senior Cup against Chatham Town on Wednesday. However, boss Powell is unlikely to tinker too much with the team he put out against Leeds at Elland Road on Tuesday night, when the Addicks earned a gutsy 1-1 draw. Powell had made sweeping changes for that game, with Rob Hulse replacing the injured Ricardo Fuller, and Johnnie Jackson, Cedric Evina and Dorian Dervite all brought into the starting line-up. Dervite, on his full debut, responded with a fine equalising goal. All four are expected to retain their places, but winger Dale Stephens is likely to be missing with a tight hamstring that he sustained in the warm-up at Elland Road. Bradley Pritchard, his 11th-hour replacement, should keep his spot in the side. Meanwhile, Yann Kermorgant is not expected back until the new year due to an ankle injury while Rhoys Wiggins is a few weeks away as he continues to get over a foot problem. Andy Hughes and striker Danny Haynes are also recovering from injuries.
