Ancelotti recieves double boost
Chelsea, 16:12, September 18, 2009 ,
Chelsea will welcome back Didier Drogba and Jose Bosingwa for the clash with Tottenham after they missed the midweek win over Porto.
The pair are currently suspended from the Champions League following their outbursts after last year's semi-final defeat to Barcelona, but are available for selection in domestic competition.
Joe Cole could also play some part in the game against Spurs on Sunday having been on the bench for the Blues' 1-0 victory over Porto, but Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti may be inclined to ease him back into the first-team via the Carling Cup game against QPR in the week.
Yuri Zhirkov (knee) and Paulo Ferreira (knee) are definitely out while Alex is still struggling with a groin injury.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ancelotti said he expected Chelsea to make the kind of start that they have, winning their first five games, but warned the Blues are not unbeatable.
"I'm not surprised at how well we have started because I had one month before the start to know the players and their mental attitude and quality," said the former AC Milan manager.
"So it's not a surprise for me but I've never seen an unbeatable team. Chelsea are not unbeatable. Now we are just doing well."
