Blues bid to keep Brazilian

PSV Eindhoven say they failed with a bid for Alex after Chelsea insisted the defender was not for sale.
The Brazilian has told the Blues he wants to move on in search of first-team football and claimed that clubs throughout Europe were showing an interest in him with a view to a January swoop.
However it seems as though Chelsea have no intention of letting the player go either on loan or permanently after rejecting PSV's approach for the player.
"We contacted Chelsea, but the answer was clear: they don't want to let him go under any circumstances," PSV director Jan Reker told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
