Blues linked with Hazard switch
Chelsea are back in the race for Lille's attacking midfielder Eden Hazard after his proposed move to Real Madrid appears to be off.
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is not alone in wanting the exciting forward as Inter Milan, Arsenal, and Manchester City are all ready to step in if his move to Madrid falls through, with Inter in particular thought to be keen on a move.
Real thought they had a pre-contract deal agreed with the player who is thought of as one of the best emerging talents in Europe but former Inter Milan defender Javier Zanetti has revealed on French radio that they are after him, which opens the door to everyone else making a move.
Zanetti said: "Hazard is a player I like. I know from a reliable source that the club are following him and are interested in his signature. He is a huge talent, but is very young and can still improve."
Lille academy director Jean-Michel Vandamme has said previously that the French champions would only consider selling him if a club matches their £40m valuation of the winger, he also claimed , before Inter's interest, that Chelsea were the keenest.
