Blues make enormous transfer bid
Chelsea, 17:32, June 3, 2009 ,
Chelsea have made a astronomical £73.5million bid for AC Milan playmaker Kaka as they battle it out with Real Madrid for the Brazilian.
Reports suggest the west London club have tabled the bid for the attacking midfielder, despite Kaka going on record saying he doesn't want to leave Milan.
However, reports in the Spanish press on Wednesday suggested Real Madrid had tied up a £56million deal for the 27-year-old, who had agreed a five-year contract with the Spanish giants.
Chelsea have now trumped Real's offer, with new manager Carlo Ancelotti making Kaka his number one target, and the Blues are also allegedly prepared to pay Kaka in excess of £10million-a-year in wages, after tax, in a bid to lure him to Stamford Bridge.
