Blues miss Sevilla ace
Barcelona have reportedly agreed a £23m fee with Sevilla to sign Brazilian full-back Daniel Alves to end any interest from Chelsea.
The Spanish media claims the 25-year-old, who can play on the right of defence or midfield, will sign a four-year contract with the Catalan giants, while Sevilla could eventually receive almost £29m based on appearances and results.
Alves, who joined Sevilla from Bahia for less than one million euros in 2003 and helped then coach Juande Ramos' team win back-to-back UEFA Cups in 2006 and 2007, has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the past.
However, it now looks certain that he will become new Barca coach Pep Guardiola's fourth new signing of the close season, following on from midfielder Seydou Keita and defenders Martin Caceres and Gerard Pique.
