Blues ready to swap Torres

Chelsea are ready to step up their bid to land Radamel Falcao by offering £15m and Fernando Torres for the striker.

The Colombian striker has been a revelation for Atletico Madrid after joining them from Porto last summer and has gone on to bag an impressive 24 goals in 34 games. Two of them came in the Europa League Final as they defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-0 and Roman Abramovich is ready to wheel and deal in attempt to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge. Reports claim that Chelsea are willing to offer Atletico former striker Torres plus cash, but it is thought the Spanish side would only be interested in a straight cash deal and have slapped a £50million price tag on his head. It remains to be seen if Abramovich would go that high as he also wants to sign Porto striker Hulk who will cost a hefty fee and he would like to move Torres out first. The Spaniard has shown in recent weeks that he could be at last finding his form, but reports claim that he could still be heading for the exit door.
