Boss backs Torres to shine

Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has given his full backing to Fernando Torres and says he will soon be back on the goal trail.
Torres appeared to have banished the demons of the previous 18 months when grabbing two goals as he started the season in impressive form, but two disappointing performances have led to suggestion they could have returned. The Spaniard had a tough afternoon as Chelsea were held to a goalless draw at QPR and showed his frustration, when he stormed down the tunnel after being substituted with 10 minutes left. However Di Matteo is not concerned and does not fear another goal drought could be on the cards. "No, no, absolutely not," said the Chelsea boss. "We can't put too much pressure on one player. We are a team and everybody has responsibility. We're looking for other players to score goals as well. "I think it's a team sport. I wouldn't individually go player by player. I thought, as a team, we played well, our centre-forward worked very hard, he had a chance in the first half to score as well, a half-decent chance in the second half." Di Matteo did however say that Daniel Sturridge looked sharp when coming on at Loftus Road and fully expects him to be breathing down Torres' neck this season.
