Brazilian striker back in Blues' thoughts
Chelsea have told AC Milan they would only consider letting Fernando Torres go if Alexandre Pato came in a swap deal.
The Blues were reportedly contacted by the Serie A giants recently about the chances of Milan signing the Spanish striker, who was surprisingly left on the bench at Sunderland last weekend.
Milan officials even discussed allowing former Chelsea target Robinho come in a potential player plus cash deal, but Chelsea were having none of it.
Instead, according to Sportsmediaset, Blues officials responed by asking about Pato - the young Brazilian striker who scored in the opening minute of last night's 2-2 draw against Barcelona.
Pato, 22, scored 14 goals in 25 Serie A games last season and is rated in the £50million bracket by his club - who paid just under £20million to briong him from Brazil as a 18-year-old in 2007.
