Chelsea are ready to drop all interest in Porto striker Hulk as they refuse to become involved in a bidding war for the Brazilian.
The Blues have been working on a deal to sign the striker, who is seen as the perfect replacement for Didier Drogba, but are now set to look elsewhere as they struggle to agree a fee with the Portuguese club.
Chelsea were willing to pay over £30million for the striker but Porto are holding out for £38million, while reports now claim that Paris St Germain are ready to spend big to clinch a deal.
Chief executive Ron Gourlay has already said they will not get sucked into a bidding war for any player and Roberto Di Matteo will now look elsewhere for a new striker.
Malaga attacker Salomon Rondon is also on Di Matteo's list of possible targets while he could also look closer to home and move for Newcastle's Demba Ba.
