David Luiz is battling to be fit for the Champions League Final and the Chelsea defender says he is confident of making it.
The defender has been struggling with a hamstring injury since the FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham but is making good progress and it is hoped he will be fit to face Bayern Munich on May 19th. Gary Cahill is also battling to be fit following a hamstring injury and with both John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic ruled out through suspension, it is crucial they both make it. Luiz sees the Chelsea physios every day and as long as there are no setbacks he expects to give Roberto Di Matteo a big boost ahead of the Final in Munich. "Every day, I have had treatment and am going through hard training so that, in Munich, I can play," Luiz revealed. "I am doing everything I can for this game. It is a dream (to play). "Not just my dream of course, but for all players in the world. They all dream to play in the Champions League final. I think my fitness will be good and I will be fit for Munich."
