Don't write us off, warns Lampard

Frank Lampard has warned Manchester United to expect a backlash from Chelsea when the two title rivals clash on January 11.

The west Londoners will head to Old Trafford desperate to avenge for their late surrender at Fulham on Sunday to leave them trailing United's bitter rivals and leaders Liverpool by three points.

Luiz Felipe Scolari's men have won just twice in seven Premier League games but Lampard, who scored twice at Craven Cottage, is refusing to throw the towel in.

He said: "There's three points in it and we've got a very good squad of players. Against Fulham it was frustrating because of the manner of losing all three points with that last-minute header.

"But we will go to United wanting to win that game. If we can get real consistency going, we can win the League."
