Drogba dismisses Wilkins exit impact

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba insists the sacking of Ray Wilkins as assistant boss is not the reason behind Chelsea's dip in form.

Wilkins was axed earlier in the month, and since the popular assistant left Stamford Bridge Chelsea have lost two league fixtures, against Birmingham and Sunderland.
It has been suggested Wilkins' departure was the instigating factor in the Blues' recent slump.
Chelsea managed to come back from a goal down to secure a 2-1 Champions League victory over MSK Zilina at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, Drogba has revealed the first-half display was not good enough but the Ivory Coast international has insisted Wilkins' exit is not to blame for Chelsea's poor form.
"Of course we miss Ray but the players are the same. If we lose, it is not because Ray has gone, it is down to the players. We have to try to resolve our problems because we are not playing well," said Drogba.
Chelsea named Michael Emenalo as assistant last week, with the former Head Opposition Scout promoted from within to replace Wilkins.

what didier says is true and worth think over because the team is not playing any good football and we the supporters are not happy with that, and i urge all to forget the past and focuse on the game as we are at equal points with MU.

i totally agree with drogba they havent been playing that well, so they must focus on the upcoming games and forget everything else thats being said because at the end of the day its all down to the players and the effort they put together and concentration amongst other things so no one can be blamed for it! so they must put all of this behind and focus on the game because of the equal points with man utd! come on chelsea!!
