Drogba future in limbo

Didier Drogba could be set for a shock return to England with Liverpool as doubts surround his future in China.

The Ivorian only left Chelsea in the summer after turning down the offer of a new deal in favour of a fresh challenge in China but it looks as though his time in the Far East could be short lived.
Drogba signed a lucrative contract with Shanghai Shenua but reports claim he could soon be a free agent again after the club revealed they could no longer pay his wages.
If that is the case Liverpool are ready to swoop as they are a striker short after they failed to replace Andy Carroll, who joined West Ham on loan just before the window closed.
A return to Chelsea looks unlikely and it also remains to be seen if Drogba would consider signing for Liverpool after so many happy years at Stamford Bridge.
