Chelsea could try and wrap up deals for Edinson Cavani and Andre Schurrle before the transfer window closes.

Roberto Di Matteo has been busy when drafting in Eden Hazard, Thorgan Hazard, Marko Marin, Oscar, Cesar Azpilicueta and Victor Moses this summer but there is still room for two more. A striker is the Italian's top priority following the departure of Didier Drogba, while doubts also continue to surround the future of Danny Sturridge, who is a target for Liverpool. Napoli ace Cavani has been a long-term target of Di Matteo's but the Blues have so far been unable to agree a fee with the Serie A side, who are holding out for £60million. Chelsea will not go that high but reports claim they are ready to offer over £30million in the hope that could be enough to secure the Uruguay international's signature. Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen's Schurrle also continues to be linked but Di Matteo may only try and land the German international if he fails to land Cavani.
