Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo is reported to be lining up a swoop for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.
Di Matteo has yet to replace Didier Drogba and, after failing to make progress with the likes of Hulk, Edinson Cavani and Stevan Jovetic, he is now in the hunt to land Lewandowski. The Poland international bagged 22 goals in the Bundesliga last season and is one of the most sought after strikers in Europe with Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United all thought to be keen. The player's agent has confirmed there is interest from the Premier League but says the reported £13million that Chelsea have offered would not be enough to strike a deal. Maik Barthel revealed: "Unofficially there are offers from English top clubs. We respect the contract situation in Dortmund and don't want to take part in speculation. A £13 million transfer fee is not suitable."
