Roman Abramovich is ready to break the bank to bring Jose Mourinho back to Chelsea despite Roberto Di Matteo doing a great job.
The Italian is 90 minutes away from booking Chelsea's place in the Champions League Final by defeating Barcelona but reports claim it still may not be enough to secure the job on a permanent basis. Di Matteo has worked wonders since replacing Andre Villas-Boas and many want him to take charge full time but it would appear that Abramovich has other ideas and wants the Special One to return. Mourinho is likely to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season and has also been linked with Tottenham and Manchester City but Abramovich will pay whatever it takes to get him back. "Such is Roman's determination to bring back Mourinho that he is prepared to top Jose's Madrid wages and pay compensation to buy out the remaining two years of his contract," a source close to Chelsea has been quoted as saying in the Sunday Mail. Chelsea are on course for a reunion with Mourinho if they can edge past Barcelona on Tuesday night and they could link up on a permanent basis once again if Abramovich gets his way.
