Malouda priced out of move

Florent Malouda will have to take a pay cut if he is to complete a move to Santos after the Brazilian side baulked at his demands.
Malouda is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and a move to Brazil looks to be on the cards with Santos, Sao Paulo and Vasco Da Gama among the clubs known to be interested.
Informal talks have already been held with Santos officials but a deal looks unlikely to happen unless the Frenchman takes a cut from the kind of wages he is on at Chelsea.
Santos head coach Muricy Ramalho says he would like the player on board but not at the prices being quoted.
"Malouda was offered to us," Ramalho told reporters. "He is a very interesting player, but you get scared when they tell you their demands.
"They say they are in crisis in Europe, but they spend so much money on transfers there. He was offered to us, but when you think about his wages, it gets hard.
"He is a very good player, an old-school midfielder who can hold the ball and set the tone in attack."
