Jose Mourinho has dismissed rumours linking Gonzalo Higuain with Chelsea and says the player is not for sale.
The Blues are being heavily linked with a move for the Argentina international with reports claiming Roman Abramovich is ready to pay £35million when the transfer window re-opens. Paris St Germain have also been strongly linked with a move for the player, who has bagged 22 goals for Real Madrid this season, but Mourinho says he is not for sale at any price. "Higuain is staying here," Mourinho revealed. "He will stay at Madrid because I don't want him to go. He has an excellent contract here that runs for many more years. "'He is not one of those players who arrived a year ago and earns little, he earns at the same level as others. Even if clubs offer 40, 50 or 60 million Euros, we will not sell him. My two strikers for next season will be [Karim] Benzema and Higuain." Mourinho is still being linked with the Chelsea job should Abramovich decide against going with Roberto Di Matteo and it will be interesting to see what his thoughts on Higuain are should he return to Stamford Bridge.
