Chelsea look like missing out on the signing of Lucas Moura after it was revealed the player wants to stay in Brazil.

The Blues have been strongly linked with the talented 19-year-old but all hopes of a deal have been dashed by his agent who says his client wishes to stay with Sao Paulo. Brazil will host the World Cup in 2014 and only after the tournament will Lucas consider leaving for a European club with Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Inter Milan keen. "Lucas likes Sao Paulo and will not leave until after the World Cup in 2014," his agent Wagner Ribeiro said. "He has asked to stay. He doesn't think about European football for now. Firstly, he wants to make a career for himself in Brazil and then leave having been appreciated here." Meanwhile, Sao Paulo director Adalberto Baptista also wants to keep the attacking midfielder at the club and says he is not going anywhere this summer. "We have no interest in letting Lucas go," Baptista said. "Lucas also said he has no interest in leaving Sao Paulo."
