Santos reject striker bid

Chelsea have failed with a £16.7million bid for Brazilian wonder kid Neymar after Santos refused to sell.
The 18-year-old is hot property after scoring 27 goals in all competitions this year and Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge.
Santos say a bid has been made by Chelsea but it was rejected as they are determined to keep hold of a player who is expected to follow in the footsteps of Ronaldinho and Kaka.
A statement from Santos confirmed: "Santos FC declare they have received an official proposal from Chelsea FC of England for the economic rights of forward Neymar."
The statement also "reiterates that Santos FC have no interest in opening negotiations" so Chelsea will have to look elsewhere to bolster their attack this summer.
