Scolari points finger at Cech

Chelsea, 13:23, December 29, 2008 ,

Luiz Felipe Scolari pointed an accusing finger at goalkeeper Petr Cech after Chelsea lost valuable Premier League points at Fulham.

The Brazilian World Cup winner was seen confronting his number one after Clint Dempsey had salvaged the Cottagers a late point - his second from a Fulham set-piece - to blow the title race wide open.
The former Portugal head coach felt Cech should have had his defence set up to deal with the threat of Dempsey and was furious with the manner of the equaliser.
Scolari said: "I asked Petr what was the position about marking. Petr is the captain for the penalty area. I gave Petr this power.
"So I asked him what happened because one player (Dempsey) in the middle of the area was left free in the last minute. It is incredible.
"Every player, at the start of the game, knows who he needs to mark. It is my job now to ask what has happened in this situation."
