Striker exit denied by Ancelotti

Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge won't be leaving on loan and Carlo Ancelotti says he isn't interested in David Beckham either.

Ancelotti admitted he was looking to strengthen certain areas in the transfer window but revealed he would not be in the market for Beckham, whom he worked with two seasons ago at AC Milan.
He said: "I read that Beckham would like to come back to play for Tottenham. He is a fantastic professional player and could be good support for Tottenham.
"But we are not interested. Our aim is different. In that position we have good players."
Long-term casualties Alex, Yossi Benayoun and Yuri Zhirkov remain unavailable and Ancelotti is believed to be on the lookout for a younger defender to add competition and cover.
