Striker set to start
Chelsea, 13:00, October 28, 2009 ,
Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Daniel Sturridge will start against Bolton as the Chelsea boss plans to make changes.
Ancelotti has virtually named his starting eleven and Sturridge has got the nod in attack after missing the third-round win over QPR through injury, while other changes are planned.
John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho, Nicolas Anelka and Petr Cech will also be rested, while Jose Bosingwa, Ashley Cole, Yury Zhirkov, John Mikel Obi and Sam Hutchinson are all injured.
Youth will get a chance at some point as well as teenagers Jeffrey Bruma and Fabio Borini have been named on the bench.
"It is the moment for Sturridge to play and I hope that he will do his best on the pitch," Ancelotti revealed. "We have trust in his quality. He didn't have the possibility in the last month to play but tomorrow I would like to see him at his best.
"I have a lot of players who didn't play a lot of time in the previous games like Sturridge, like Paulo Ferreira, like Joe Cole, like Juliano Belletti, like Alex and I want to use these players to improve their condition. This isn't specifically a competition for young players."
