Strong start buoys Cech

Chelsea keeper Petr Cech has been pleased by the team's strong start to the season but is taking nothing for granted at this stage.

The Blues saw off the challenge of London rivals Arsenal on Saturday to maintain their place at the top of the Premier League table after the first six games of the campaign. Cech has admitted the squad at Stamford Bridge had their confidence boosted by their win over the Gunners but believes the side will stay grounded. He said: "We had difficult games so far in the season and we managed to go through really well. "We want to go step by step, game by game, into the right direction, winning games. "It was a game where everybody said, 'Okay, this is a real test of how they are doing', and we did well - so it's pleasing."
