Terry handed England warning

Chelsea, 13:35, July 18, 2010 ,

Fabio Cannavaro believes John Terry's England career could be over after the Chelsea defender's World Cup comments about Fabio Capello.

The former Italy captain thinks he could pay the price for his negative remarks about Capello during the tournament and he wouldn't be at all surprised to see him left out of the England squad bidding for Euro 2012.
The Chelsea skipper incurred the wrath of the Italian tactician in South Africa after suggesting in a press conference that some of the squad were not happy with team selection and tactics.
Terry backed down and apologised for his actions but Cannavaro feels that Capello has a good memory and will oust him from a squad which, he believes, is capable of doing great things in the future.
"My thoughts are that John Terry won't be on the team sheet," he told the Daily Star Sunday. "You don't cross Fabio and he won't want anybody disrupting his tournament again.
"It was absolutely the correct decision for the English FA to keep Fabio on. He can make this England team his own now - and I would actually make them the favourites for Euro 2012."
England put in a woeful display at the World Cup and Capello has made it clear that there will be wholesale changes when he announces his squad for upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers.
Cannavaro knows the Italian well, having played under Capello at his former club Juventus.
