Terry reveals injury blow

Chelsea, 15:21, August 31, 2010 ,

Chelsea star John Terry has revealed he has struggled with an injury since the World Cup but hopes 10 days' rest will solve the issue.

The Blues defender has admitted he has been suffering from a hamstring problem since the tournament in South Africa and has confirmed the knock is the reason he will sit out England's first two Euro 2012 qualifiers, against Bulgaria on Friday and Switzerland on September 7.
However, Terry hopes that after 10 days rest he will be fully recovered and does not consider the problem to be too serious.
"I have had a bit of a problem since the World Cup and I was hoping after the World Cup that I would have two weeks off and it would completely go away. But that wasn't the case and, coming back working hard, it came back on," the former England captain told Chelsea TV. "I played the last England game (against Hungary) but I had to come off at half-time because of it,
"I have not made it public but I have been struggling with it and maybe I just need 10 days' rest to fully get over it because it could impact on my season."
