Fernando Torres says he is ready to step up to the plate following the departure of Didier Drogba and is targeting a 'magical' season.
Torres has struggled to live up to his price tag since arriving from Liverpool for £50million and goals have been hard to come by. However, he has started this season in fine style when bagging two goals as Chelsea have won their opening three games and he intends to carry on finding the back of the net on a regular basis. Following the departure of Didier Drogba there is more pressure on Torres to produce the goods and the Spanish international says he is up for the challenge. "Didier is not here anymore so there is more responsibility for me and I'm ready for the challenge," he told Chelsea Magazine. "Hopefully, everything is going to be OK and we will work hard. "Now I am looking for new personal targets, which is to get as many goals as possible and, hopefully, I will score more than I did in my best season at Liverpool. "We have the squad to do that and we have five more trophies to play for, so it could be a magic season."
