Carter looks to impress

Darren Carter will go straight into Cheltenham's squad for their trip to Aldershot.

The former Birmingham midfielder agreed terms with the Robins on Friday and may be in line for his debut. Carter had a torrid time with injury last season and has never played in League Two before. Defender Alan Bennett remains doubtful having only resumed training this week and may be short of match fitness. But youngster Harry Hooman has been in excellent form so far and is expected to keep Bennett on the bench should he return. Fellow defender Keith Lowe also provides further cover at the back. Manager Mark Yates has no further injury or suspension worries ahead of a tough clash at the Recreation Ground.
