Spireites snap up Togwell

Chesterfield have completed the signing of former Scunthorpe midfielder Sam Togwell.

The 27-year-old was released by the Iron in May following four seasons at Glanford Park and is John Sheridan's fifth new recruit of the summer as the Spireites seek an instant return to npower League One. Marc Richards, Richard O'Donnell, Chris Herd and Terrell Forbes are the other players to make the move to the B2net Stadium. Togwell told Chesterfield's official website: "There's a lot of ambition with the club and it certainly matches my ambition."
