Coker doubt for U's

Ben Coker will be assessed ahead of Colchester's Capital One Cup clash at Yeovil.

The left-back sustained a thigh injury in Saturday's 1-0 friendly victory over Bishop's Stortford and faces a race against time to be fit for the first-round tie.
Manager John Ward told the Daily Gazette: "Ben's injury was unavoidable. He's got a dead leg after going into a challenge that was fair and honest.
"Both players wanted to win the ball but Ben got caught on the thigh. They are awkward ones; they can either clear up quickly or take a couple of weeks."
Otherwise, Ward is not expected to have any other injury concerns for the encounter as the U's look to make it through to the second round of the competition for the third successive season.
