Ward remains upbeat
Colchester manager John Ward was pleased his side put up a good show after going down 3-2 at promotion favourites Huddersfield.
Jordan Rhodes fired a brace, but Colchester struck through Kayodi Odejayi and Michail Antonio, while Lee Novak lashed home Huddersfield's winner."The result was disappointing because we were ahead of the game against a team I think will be promoted," said Ward."Apart from one defeat in 30 matches, Huddersfield have been very consistent and Lee Clark is doing a fantastic job."Colchester had history against them, and Ward added: "I am told we haven't won in 40-odd games against Huddersfield but we have run them close."Lee has a big squad to choose from but mine is a bit tighter. That's not a grumble, that's just a fact. We have given them a really good game."
