Beckford keen on Sky Blues move

Coventry City, 17:58, June 15, 2009 ,

Leeds United's transfer-listed striker Jermaine Beckford is reportedly keen on a move to Coventry City this summer.

Beckford will be allowed to leave Leeds over the close season providing the League One side receive an acceptable offer for the 25-year-old, who scored an exceptional 34 goals last season.
Reports say he would be interested in a move to the Ricoh Arena although Leeds have revealed no bids have yet been made despite plenty of speculation linking a whole host of Championship sides with Beckford.
Recently-relegated Newcastle and Middlesbrough, along with Sheffield United and Crystal Palace, are all believed to be interested but it's thought anyone wanting to buy him will have to fork out in excess of £2.5million.
