Coleman admits Best will leave
Coventry City, 15:12, January 21, 2010 ,
Coventry boss Chris Coleman expects Leon Best to move on in the summer but says he has received no bids for the striker.
It had been reported that Championship rivals Middlesbrough had launched a £1million bid for the City striker, but Coleman insists this is not the case.
"I have not had one offer, not one bid," Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph.
However, Coleman admitted Boro are interested in Best and the Sky Blues boss expects him to leave the Ricoh Arena in the summer if he doesn't seal a January move.
He added: "They (Boro) are obviously interested in him so we have got to be pro-active and say, right, let's get our ducks in a row and say this could happen.
"Let's be honest here, if it doesn't happen now he is going to go in the summer because he is not going to sign a new contract with us. So let's make sure we get someone in before we get one out."
It is thought Coventry value Best at around £2million, meaning any potential suitors may wait until the end of the season as the 23-year-old is out of contract in June.
