Embargo proves costly for Sky Blues
The transfer embargo imposed on Coventry continues to thwart Andy Thorn's attempts at rebuilding his side as they look to bounce back to the Championship.
Shrewsbury striker James Collins was set to sign with the club but opted to join League One rivals Swindon instead. Collins' agent Joe Kennedy claims the move had been a possibility. "He had various options and there were talks with Andy Thorn. James has always spoken highly of the club," Kennedy told the Coventry Telegraph. "It's his boyhood club and somewhere that has a special place in his career and he would like to go back there and it was definitely an option for him to sign for them this year."
