Start questioned by Coleman
Coventry City, 18:10, June 17, 2009 ,
Coventry boss Chris Coleman has questioned the wisdom of playing four games in the first 10 days of the season.
The Sky Blues start the campaign at home against Ipswich on August 8 before facing Hartlepool at the Ricoh Arena in the Carling Cup ahead of trips to Barnsley and Doncaster on August 15 and 18 respectively.
And Coleman fears for his players who will have to hit the ground running after the summer break.
He told the club's website: "It's difficult no matter who you get for the first game because this league is so tight in terms of competition and with it being the first game of the season the boys are going to be finding their feet again.
"It doesn't matter if you have Ipswich at home or Newcastle away, the start of the season is always frantic and I still believe four games in the first 10 days of the new season needs to be looked at."
